Built in 1929, the Cypress Inn’s Mediterranean

galleries, and restaurants, the 44-room inn is central
to Carmel-by-the-Sea. Down the lane lies Carmel's
famous white-sand beach. Within easy walking distance
you'll find the Artista studio.
Artista rooms have village or courtyard views and
are appointed with either a queen size bed for a
single or two twin beds for a pair of friends. Feel
free to inquire about upgrades to ocean views or
king size beds. All rooms feature marble tile bathrooms,
snuggly bathrobes, complimentary sherry, fruit baskets,
and nightly turndown service. Additionally, each
room has an am/fm/cd player, hair dryer, iron and

d’Azur. The courtyard’s brilliant white
walls and red roof tiles coax climbing vines and
